The Cyan Winery owns 53 hectares of vineyards located along the Valdefinjas valley, from the area of El Palo, in Toro, to the area of La Jara.
These soils are poor in organic matter, sandy with some alluvial pebbles near the surface and with clay underneath, which favours the retention of water in times of drought.
The most striking aspect of Cyan, where the pre-eminent local variety Tinta de Toro is nurtured, is undoubtedly its old vineyard area: two hectares with vines over 80 years old, planted in a traditional pattern and with yields that barely exceed 1000 kg per hectare. Its soils are sandy at the surface but have limestone and clay underneath.
The soils that surround the winery are of a distinct limestone nature, adding refined mineral tones.
